Good news! Maine lawmakers have passed a bill that will prevent internet providers from selling consumers' private internet data to advertisers. The state's senate unanimously passed the bill 35-0 on Thursday following an earlier vote by state representatives 96-45 in favor of the bill....
Montana Democrats have their first candidate for the Secretary of State's office race in 2020. Missoula State Sen. Bryce Bennett announced his bid for the office Wednesday. Bennett declared his candidacy in a YouTube video released Wednesday morning. "I've dedicated my career to ensuring all eligible Montanas can participate in open, transparent, and secure elections," Bennett said.
Republican Secretary of State Corey Stapleton is not termed out from seeking reelection, but is running for governor in 2020. "I'm running because I want every Montanan to have confidence their voice will be heard and their vote will be counted on election day," Bennett said Tuesday.
